Dimapur, May 13 (EMN): The NSCN/GPRN has expressed ‘ grave concern’ that “some rogue elements having close ties with Indian security agencies” are ‘engaged in rampant extortion’ in and around Dimapur and Kohima.’ They are claiming to have ‘endorsement’ from the group’s top leaders, a note from the organisation’s “MIP” stated on Sunday.
The note stated: “It has become a grave concern that some rogue elements having close ties with Indian Security Agencies has been engaged in rampant extortion and unauthorised taxation in and around Dimapur and Kohima claiming to have endorsement from Lt.Gen.Niki Sumi and Col.(rtd).Isak Sumi, dy. Kilonser.”
“In this connection the following impostors identified as Vikuto Sumi, Noghuka alias Noka alias Alex and Kughato Chishi all former NSCN/GPRN cadres be not entertained and may immediately be reported to Brig. Akaho Zhimo the In-charge of Dimapur and Isak Sumi for Kohima or may be informed to the police forces of their nefarious activities for immediate arrest and detention and appropriate action be taken in order to rein in their criminal activities.”
The group also warned the ‘parents of these gang members’ to ‘take note of their wards’ criminal activities.’ Otherwise, ‘Punitive military action shall be enforced and NSCN/GPRN shall bear no responsibilities henceforth,’ the MIP added.
