Green Park to host World Music Day 2023

To commemorate World Music Day which falls on June 21, the music industry from Dimapur is organising series of exciting events -- The main event will take place on June 21 at Green Park, 5th Mile, Chümoukedima. Entry will be free after 4 pm onward and the show will kick off 5 pm and wind up by 7 pm

DIMAPUR — To commemorate World Music Day which falls on June 21, the music industry from Dimapur is organising a series of exciting events, performances and initiatives aimed at inspiring a deeper appreciation for the diverse musical traditions that exist worldwide.

The main event will take place on June 21 at Green Park, 5th Mile, Chümoukedima. Entry will be free after 4 pm onward and the show will kick off 5 pm and wind up by 7 pm, an update informed.

“Our goal is to create a platform that celebrates cultural exchange and promotes the discovery of new sounds and rhythms from around the globe,” it stated.

The event will feature prominent artistes and bands from all over Nagaland.

The event partners are Sky Entertainment, Love Easts, Crescendo, Shiu lights, Soloist Work Station, Infinity Inc, sound partner BN Sound, MI Printers, Dimapur TaFMA district partner, Niuland TaFMA district partner, in association with TaFMA.

“We are proud to embrace World Music Day as an opportunity to honor the artists, musicians, and enthusiasts who enrich our lives through their incredible talents,” it stated.

The organisers also informed that alcohol will be prohibited inside the Park during the event, to enable attendees of all ages to feel comfortable and secure.
