Kohima, May 26 (EMN): The week-long free football coaching camp organised by Nagaland Football Coaches Association (NFCA) at Kohima local ground concluded this evening.
46 soccer aspirants between the age group of 6 - 12 years attended the five-day coaching camp which commenced on May 22 under the theme “Make Football Happen”.

Exhorting the upcoming footballers, Roko said even as the camp concluded, they should be maintaining regular practice. He however urged them that they should also give equal importance towards their studies and not only play.
He called upon them to maintain discipline not only infront of the coaches but they should respect the elders while also seeking their blessing to be successful. The free football coaching was aimed at developing football from the grassroots and further to discover and catch talents while they are young.
“Our aim is to make football happen at the grassroots, and it is our desire that we make Nagaland a hub for football in the country,” one of the coaches said.
Participation certificates were handed out to all the campers who attended the training.
The coaching camp was organised by NFCA in collaboration with the department of Youth Resources & Sports, Kohima District Veteran Football Association, Havells Galaxy Kohima and Toyota Okusa, Dimapur.
NFCA Technical Director William Koso along with 12 coaches AIFF ‘D’ conducted the training.
With the success of the coaching camp in Dimapur and Kohima, the NFCA now plans to organise the next camp either in Peren or Mokokchung, and to be followed in other districts, informed NFCA president Roko Angami.
