[dropcap]T[/dropcap]HE creators of ‘Grand Theft Auto V’ have hit out at Lindsay Lohan for suing them, insisting her case was “filed for publicity purposes”. Manufacturer Take-Two Interactive has called for the ‘Mean Girls’ actress’ complaint to be dismissed after she claimed they used her image for a character in the game called Lacey Jonas without her permission, and they insist the case was “filed for publicity purposes” According to court documents, the game makers said: “The complaint is a bad-faith filing and abuse of the court system and should be dismissed. “The portrayal of a Hollywood figure being chased by paparazzi, of course, is hardly unique to Ms. Lohan.” Lindsay, 28, also claims one of the hotels frequented by Lacey in the game bears a striking resemblance to the Hotel Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood, where she previously stayed, but the manufacturers insist several buildings in the game look similar to others in Los Angeles. Take-Two added: “She also alleges that ‘Grand Theft Auto V’ features a hotel similar to the Hotel Chateau Marmont of West Hollywood, where she once resided. “This allegation underscores the thinness of Ms. Lohan’s claims: GTAV is a parody of Los Angeles, so it is unsurprising that it features similar buildings.”
