Extended GPS classroom inaugurated in Medziphema

Prof. M Aleminla inaugurating the newly constructed GPS extended classroom at Agri Colony in Medziphema town on Wednesday.

Dimapur, Feb. 16 (EMN): An extended classroom of the Government Primary School (GPS) at Agri Colony under Khenu Ward-7 in Medziphema town, constructed by the ward community, was inaugurated on Wednesday by Prof. M Aleminla, pro-vice chancellor of SASRD, NU, Medziphema campus.

The extended classroom was inaugurated in the presence of SDO (C) of Medziphema, officials from Agriculture department, SDEO of Medziphema, officials from SASRD, NU, and ward members, a press release issued by the school management committee (SMC) stated.

Speaking at the programme, Prof. Aleminla Ao encouraged the teaching staff and the ward community to work together and support each other for the uplift of the student as well as the community for a better future. She further expressed her appreciation towards the SMC and the teaching staff of the school.

The programme began with a dedicatory prayer by Matsung Lemtor, pastor of Eastern Church, Medziphema, while the welcome address was delivered by Ato V Sema, chairman of school management committee and a brief history of the school was delivered by Alemla Quinker, teacher in-charge.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Nkhanimo Humtsoe, executive member of Ward-7.
