WOKHA — A newly constructed classroom at Government Primary School (GPS), Airfield Colony, in Wokha was dedicated during a programme held on the school premises on Thursday.
The construction was made possible through contributions from teachers, School Management Committee (SMC) members, the colony council, the chairperson of Wokha Town Council, and well-wishers, as the school had been facing a shortage of classrooms, according to an update.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new classroom was carried out by Vincent Shitiri, Chairman of the Airfield Colony Council.
The school was awarded third place in the FLN category in the Wokha district in 2023. It also produced toppers in the PSLC examination in both 2023 and 2024.
The programme was chaired by Loreni, with the dedicatory prayer and invocation pronounced by Sacheo Patton, Deacon of Airfield Colony.
