- DIMAPUR — The GPRN/NSCN (Unification) has
issued a public warning against individuals and groups allegedly collecting
taxes in its name in the state.
- In a statement, it said that it has come to the knowledge of
the GPRN/NSCN (Unification) that certain groups of people and elements, taking
advantage of the prevailing situation, are found to be collecting taxes under
the guise of the GPRN/NSCN (Unification) in and around the commercial hubs of
the state.
- The group advised all the general populace, business
establishments, and civil society organisations to stay vigilant and
well-informed and to avoid dealings with such imposters falsely claiming
affiliation with the GPRN/NSCN (Unification).
- It warned that any individual or group found impersonating
its members and engaging in tax collections or soliciting donations of any kind
in the name of the GPRN/NSCN (Unification) will face severe consequences
without reservation.
