GPRN/NSCN (U) and NNC/FGN (Tokuho Swu) have signed an MoU to strengthen unity, promote peace, and cooperate towards an honourable and inclusive solution to the Naga political issue.
DIMAPUR — The GPRN/NSCN (Unification), represented by its 'ato kilonser' Alezo Venuh, and the NNC/FGN (Tokuho Swu government), represented by its 'president and commander-in-chief', have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) reaffirming their commitment to strengthening unity, mutual understanding and cooperation among the Naga people.
According to a press release issued by the MIP Kilonser of the NNC/FGN (Tokuho Swu), the two organisations acknowledged the shared history, sacrifices and aspirations of the Nagas, while affirming that dialogue, mutual respect and peaceful cooperation are essential to safeguarding the interests of the Naga nation and fostering harmony among Naga political groups and civil society.
Under the agreement, both organisations pledged to strengthen mutual trust, respect and cordial relations, while working together to promote peace, unity, reconciliation and the welfare of the Naga people.
They also agreed to encourage political dialogue and cooperation in pursuit of an honourable and inclusive solution to the long-standing Naga political issue.

The MoU further commits the two groups to jointly support the social, economic, educational and cultural development of the Naga people for the benefit of present and future generations.
Both parties agreed to resolve misunderstandings and differences through peaceful consultation rather than confrontation, uphold law, discipline and the dignity of the Naga people, and respect each other's organisational identity and responsibilities.
They also resolved to cooperate in addressing public grievances while maintaining stability and security in Naga areas.
Appealing to all Nagas to uphold the spirit of brotherhood, forgiveness and unity, the signatories stated that the strength of the Naga nation lies in unity rather than division. They reaffirmed their shared commitment to building a peaceful, prosperous and united future founded on justice, cooperation and reconciliation.
The MoU takes effect from the date of signing and will remain in force unless amended or terminated through the mutual written consent of both parties.
