DIMAPUR — The GPRN/NSCN (Unification) led by president, Gen. (Retd.) MB Neokpao Konyak, and ato kilonser Alezo Venuh, has appealed to the people of Chakroma and Moava villages to renounce all forms of violence and to uphold the enduring values of Christian principles, which advocate peace, forgiveness, and reconciliation.
In a press release, the group stated that at a time when every Naga individual and organisation is yearning and striving for peace, harmony, and tranquillity within Naga society, the unfortunate incident has caused deep concern.
“Such developments are regrettable and stand contrary to the collective aspirations of the Naga people for unity and mutual understanding,” it stated.

In view of this distressing occurrence, the GPRN/NSCN (U) urged both parties involved in the recent violent activities to exercise restraint and to refrain from any further actions that may escalate tensions.
“The organisation calls upon all concerned to engage in dialogue and pursue peaceful means to resolve differences, thereby safeguarding the spirit of brotherhood and communal coexistence.
“The GPRN/NSCN (Unification) remains steadfast in its commitment to fostering reconciliation, stability, and lasting peace among the Naga people,” it added.
