- DIMAPUR — The GPRN/NSCN Ato Kilonser, Alezo Venuh, on Saturday
claimed that the April 11 extension of ceasefire between the Naga group and
government of India was signed in the name of the GPRN/NSCN led by Gen. (Rtd) MB Neokpao Konyak.
- Interacting with media persons at Dimapur Airport on his
return from Delhi, Venuh affirmed that the group remains intact under Neokpao’s
leadership and that they have met with government of India officials.
- However, there are certain technical issues that still need
to be addressed, he admitted.
- When asked about the ceasefire extension signed under the
banner of NSCN (NK), he responded that, as per official records with the
government of India, the ceasefire extension has been signed with the GPRN/NSCN
Unification (NK).
- However, at the end of the day, whether one likes it or not,
all of them are working on reconciliation, and the process is on, he said,
adding that solution is for all and “not for only Mr X or Mr Y.”
- He reassured that the GPRN/NSCNunder President Neokpao and himself as the
Ato Kilonser remains intact, along with all its civil, army, regional units,
and secretarial structures.
