GPRN/NSCN, NSCN-R, CFMG hold meet

A Staff Reporter Dimapur, March 8 GPRN/NSCN and NSCN-Reformation held a routine meeting with the Ceasefire Monitoring Group (CFMG) at Police Complex, Chumukedima in Dimapur on Tuesday. However, the NSCN-IM though invited by the CFMG did not participate in the meeting. According to sources, CFMG chairman NK Singh along with officials met GPRN/NSCN representatives before they held similar meeting with the NSCN-R. As usual, topic on ground rules of the ceasefire was the agenda in both the meetings. Meanwhile, sources said the NSCN-IM did not participate in today’s meeting mainly because of the issue with the CFMG chairman NK Singh. The NSCN-IM is determined not to hold meeting with the CFMG unless the issue is resolved. The NSCN-IM has been demanding that NK Singh is recalled by New Delhi. Meanwhile, sources said GPRN/NSCN will hold a meeting with CFMG in April in connection with the Ceasefire extension. The current term will expire in two months.
