DIMAPUR — The GPRN/NSCN (Naga Unification) has condemned the recent alleged treacherous and malicious act perpetrated by the 11 Assam Rifles stationed at Zunheboto, in active collusion with personnel of the Zunheboto Police Station.
In a press release, the GPRN/NSCN (NU) stated that the act pertains to the August 19 “false claim” incident, widely circulated on social media, of the so-called “surrender” of two innocent Naga youths, namely Bohovi Khala of Imulo village, and Inalu Aye of Litsami village.
The group stated that one of the youths was even wrongfully branded as a Raju Peyu (Army No. 20892), despite there being no evidence of their association with any Naga nationalist organisation.

“Both individuals, as confirmed by their own statements publicly released through social media and further verified by their respective village councils, are ordinary civilians with no connection whatsoever to any national movement or underground organisation,” the GPRN/NSCN (NU) stated.
It was alleged that the youths were deceitfully coerced into a fabricated drama. According to reports, the GPRN/NSCN (NU) alleged that they were first made to consume alcohol, rendering them vulnerable and inebriated.
In this state, they were allegedly enticed with promises of monetary inducement. The security personnel were accused of exploiting their condition to stage a false surrender, reportedly motivated by selfish ambition to secure promotions and personal gains within their services.
“Such conduct is not only disgraceful but also a calculated attempt by the Indian security apparatus to malign the image of the GPRN/NSCN (Naga Unification) and to sabotage the prevailing peace and harmony among the Naga people. This insidious attempt to sow distrust and confusion among the public with malicious intent is utterly unacceptable,” it stated.
“Therefore, the GPRN/NSCN (Naga Unification) denounces this criminal conspiracy in the strongest terms. We caution that any further recurrence of such vile and manipulative actions shall not, under any circumstances, be tolerated. Should such provocations continue, they will inevitably invite grave and unavoidable consequences.”
