Dimapur, March 12 (EMN): In order to maintain peace and harmony in the region, national workers from Konyak Region convened a solidarity meeting on March 1 at Mon headquarters and reaffirmed their commitment towards the Naga nation and to uphold the national political aspiration through unity under the leadership of
GPRN/NSCN chairman, Gen. (Retd) MB Neokpao Konyak, and General Secretary N Kitovi Zhimomi.
Senior national workers led by Maj. Gen (Retd) Mohpa Konyak, kilonser, and Nyemlao Konyak, NPAC member, along with more than sixty Konyak national workers above the rank of Major from Naga Army and Leacy from civil wing attended the meeting.
In his short address to Konyak national workers, Maj. Gen. (Retd) Mohpa Konyak, kilonser, said there should not be any apprehension and doubt in the minds of true patriots since the GPRN/NSCN Collective Leaders have made their position clear to the Naga people and the GOI. He exhorted the national workers to have patience and confidence in any situation and at all times.
RAO Konyak Region, Angki Konyak appreciated the Konyak Union (KU) and the Konyak public for their constant support and cooperation in maintaining and promoting peaceful atmosphere in Konyak region.
Certain administrative rules and regulations were adopted and approved by the members to strengthen Konyak region and to promote Naga peace and unity. The meeting reaffirmed the stand of Konyak people towards strengthening the will of the people of Nagaland in their pursuit for honourable and acceptable solution.
Senior GPRN/NSCN Konyak region delegation also met with the Konyak Union officials and deliberated on the need to maintain peace and harmony in Konyak region. It was agreed that better understanding and coordination should be maintained among GPRN/NSCN, KU officials and Konyak public.
