Dimapur, April 26
The Eastern Nagaland People’s Organization (ENPO) has urged law enforcing agencies and the government administration as well as the district administration of Tuensang district to investigate and trace a person missing since April 11. The ENPO said that the government must act “before the situation turns ugly.”
The ENPO condemned what it called the abduction and disappearance of one Kumcho Yimchunger of Sotokur (Thsotokur) village, under Tuensang district, on April 11. He went missing from below the Helipong junction, along national highway-155, the ENPO stated in a press relese issued though the media on Tuesday.
“It is to be stated that, Mr. Kumcho is reportedly a church worker who was on his way to Tuensang on church duty on a two wheeler on that fateful day. A democratic dialogue across the table should be the basis for resolving any issue, but resorting to such barbaric and primitive acts should be condemned and opposed by every right thinking citizen,” the ENPO said.
“The ENPO further strongly urges the law enforcing agency and administration of the district and the state to investigate and book the culprits before the situation turns ugly,” it added.
