Dimapur, August 19 (EMN): With an aim to equip government servants on office management, training on office processes was conducted from August 17-19.
During the three-day training, deputy director (Training), Dr. Hovithal Sothu, presented on topics such as file management, different forms of official communication, noting skills and drafting skills, while leave rules was taken by deputy director (Training), Kaholi Sema.
In the Valedictory function, the additional director administration, Kevekha Kevin Zehol, encouraged the 38 participants from different departments to give their best in their work. He challenged them to make a difference in the society wherever they are.
“Unless you practice what you have learnt, the knowledge that you have gained today will be wasted” he added. He also appreciated the course coordinator for getting enough participants and for successfully completing the training.
Four participants namely Benile Kent, Vizoneilie Pienyu, Vibi Mero and Rongsennukshi Aier spoke in the valedictory function. They thanked the course coordinator and the institute for arranging such a good programme for them to learn about office management. They also mentioned about interests to attend more trainings in future.
The course coordinator, Dr. Hovithal Sothu, gave a report on the course evaluation given by the participants and thanked the additional director for his advices and encouraging words.
He also thanked the participants for their cooperation and for being very good learners.
