Dimapur, March 29 (EMN): State government has enhanced the Dearness Relief to pensioners and family pensioners of the state government.
In an Office Memorandum (OM), the state chief secretary and finance commissioner, Temjen Toy, stated that Dearness Relief for Nagaland Services (Revision of Pay) Rules 2017 has been enhanced to 12% from the existing 9% with a net increase of 3%, while the Nagaland Services (Revision of Pay) Rules 2010 has been enhanced from 154% from the existing 148% with a net increase of 6%.
The OM stated that payment of Dearness Relief involving a fraction of a rupee should be rounded off to the next higher rupee. It further requested the Principal Accountant General (A&E) to circulate the OM to all the Accountant General in the state so that pensioners of the state government drawing pension under their jurisdiction might be authorised for payment of the relief at the earliest.
