Dimapur, July 31 (EMN): An online Gross Provident Fund (GPF) information system for employees of the Nagaland state government has been launched. The facility launched by Chief Secretary of Nagaland Pankaj Kumar at the office of the Principal Accountant General on July 31.
In his address during the event, the chief secretary gave highlights of online payment systems that have been developed in the recent times. Some of such facilities include the electricity billing system in some districts; the online application system of the Nagaland Public Service Commission, and online scholarship application, among others.

Chief Secretary Kumar said that the online GPF system will help the state’s government employees to quickly assess their account. Likewise for employees of the Accountant General, he said, it will be much easier to efficiently and easily monitor the system in a better way.
The establishment of the Principal Accountant General (A&E) launched the system in partnership with the informatics centers of Nagaland and Manipur for registered GPF subscribers of grade-C, and above, employees of the state’s government.
In order to access the online GPF system for GPF status, a subscriber has to select the GPF series name and enter the GPF Account Number, and their PIN in the relevant boxes that have been provided. SMS alerts concerning details of credit and debit can also be availed.
