Dimapur, March 11 (EMN): The government of Nagaland has constituted what it has called "Political Affairs Mission." A press release from the government on Saturday stated that the group is led by the chief minister. The “Political Affairs Mission” comprises Chief Minister Dr. Shiirhozelie Liezietsu as chairman, and minister for NH & Pol. Affairs G Kaito Aye as convener; the members are minister for H&FW P Longon, minister for R&B Vikheho Swu, minister for Forest Imkong L Imchen, advisor for DUDA N. Thongwang Konyak, advisor for T&A, Labour & Emp Dr. TM Lotha, and advisor to chief minister Nuklutoshi.
“The Political Affairs Mission's mandate is to look into the existing socio-political issues in the state which require urgent attention, for the betterment of the Naga society,” stated the press release appended by Commissioner & Secretary to Chief Minister I Himato Zhimomi.
“The Political Affairs Mission so constituted by the chief minister supersedes the Political Affairs Committee and all other similar committees constituted earlier. The Political Affairs Mission will co-opt other members as and when required,” it added.
