Dimapur, July 2 (EMN): Nagaland Governor P B. Acharya today encouraged the students to be entrepreneurs and to be agents of social change in the society.
The Governor, on a visit to ICFAI University Nagaland, interacted with the faculty, staff and students of the university.
During the interaction session, the governor encouraged the students to be entrepreneurs and at the same time highlighted about the various schemes under ‘mudra bank schemes’. He also highlighted on the various central government schemes, such as jandhan yojana, atal pension yojana, beti padao beti bachao scheme etc.
The governor also underscored the importance of working as agents of social change and strongly asserted that “unless we endeavour to uplift the economically weaker section of people in the society, our education has no meaning.”He encouraged the students to go to different villages and prepare a report on the utilisation of these schemes by the villagers, and organise awareness programmes.
