Dimapur, Nov. 27 (EMN): The Governor of Nagaland PB Acharya graced the All India Kungfu Championship at a ceremony held at the Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan Kohima on Nov. 27. It can be noted that this is the first time that Nagaland is hosting such event.
Addressing the gathering, the Governor said that all kind of sports including Kungfu provide a platform to hone skills like discipline, confidence and leadership, co-operation and respect which helps radically in improving the quality of people’s lives. It can deliver massive benefits in social inclusion, physical agility, mental resilience and serve to enhance, concentration, maintain healthy weight, reduce stress and depression, self-confidence and leadership trails, he added
Governor Acharya called on participants to carry the sportsmen spirit throughout the competition and wished the best to all. Earlier a Kung-fu demonstration was held at the lawns of the Raj Bhavan by students of All Assam Kung-fu. 24 states are participating at the All India Kung-fu Championship to be held from Nov. 28 till the 30th at Government Higher Secondary School ground, Dimapur.
