Dimapur, April 16 (EMN): Governor PB Acharya, who is also the national ambassador of Swachh Bharat Mission, congratulated Neingupe Marhu for his exemplary initiative towards making a Clean India by voluntarily cleaning the streets of Pfutsero town with his Maruti van which he has converted into a dumpster.
According to a press statement issued by PRO, Acharya said the initiative not only displayed Marhu’s selfless concern but also a sense of responsibility towards the society. Acharya encouraged Marhu to continue working for the welfare of the society and also inspire and motivate younger generation to follow his footsteps towards his mission to keep Pfutsero town clean.
In a separate statement, Acharya congratulated Atu Zumvu and Captain EY Jami for being conferred the prestigious ‘Shaurya Chakra’ awarded by the President of India in the presence of the Prime minister of India on April 6 at a glittering function held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi.
The Governor said the two officers have brought pride and laurels to the people of Nagaland and the nation.
Stating that the awards appropriately reflected the act of bravery, courage, dedication and promptness of the two officers, the Governor encouraged them to continue upholding the values and ideals of the Nagaland Police and the Indian Army and further continue to be an inspiration and encouragement to the younger generation to emulate their exemplary work.
