Dimapur, March 12 (EMN): The Governor of Nagaland, PB Acharya has fete Rev. Chingmak Chang and the Eleutheros Christian Society for being awarded the prestigious HCL Grant in the thematic category for health in recognition for making meaningful and lasting positive impact in the lives of marginalised people. In a message to Rev. Chang, the governor stated that it was a proud moment for ECS and hoped that the award will inspire the organisation to work even better for the marginalised in the state and take up social issues and enhance livelihood through promotion of entrepreneurship among the rural people. Acharya also expressed happiness to know that ECS has been empowering and strengthening women’s self esteem through self help groups (SHGs). The commitment of ECS in providing health care services to the people of remote areas in three districts and role in bringing down the HIV/AIDS prevalence in the Eastern Nagaland area is also highly commendable, he added.
