Governor condoles with Singh’s demise

Dimapur, April 3 (EMN): Governor PB Acharya has expressed grieve at the demise of former chief minister of Manipur, R K Dorendro Singh who passed away on March 30. The governor said Singh was the four times chief minister of Manipur from 1974 and 1993, served as speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly and Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha. Describing Singh as a ‘personal friend and a good human being,’ the governor mentioned that his contribution for the welfare of the people of Manipur and the county will be remembered forever. In his demise, Acharya said people of Manipur have lost a tall and prominent leader. The governor conveyed his condolence to members of the bereaved family and prayed to the Almighty God to grant strength and solace to bear the ‘irreparable loss.’
