Governor: State Governor P.B Acharya has extended condolences on the death of late K.V. Pusa. In a condolence message, Acharya said “he was a great social worker. It is really very tough for me to believe that now he is not with us. This is really sad and a great loss indeed to the people and to all the Nagas. He was a person who has worked for the welfare of all the Naga tribes. He was a very pleasant with an accommodating personality and a secular person respecting all religion”.
Throughout his political carrier and various post that had held, Acharya said late Pusa was the Minister of Roads and Bridges, Member of All India National Congress, President of Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee and has contributed immensely towards the development of the State and in particular the Southern Angami region. He expressed that his vast contribution in various fields will be always treasured and remembered by the people of the state.Further, he conveyed deepest sympathy and prayer to the family and all the near and dear ones during this time of sorrow and pray Almighty God to comfort the family and give strength to overcome from this tough time.
Congress Unit Chumukedima: Congress unit of Chumukedima is shocked and saddened at the sudden demise of former Minister and veteran Congress leader, late K.V. Pusa on January 2. The unit said he was an active and a true political leader, worked under different capacities during the Congress regime in Nagaland and described him as a man of vision who tirelessly worked towards the cause of the Naga people.
President and secretary of the unit expressed that his immense good works would be remembered and treasured and the vacuum created by his demise would be difficult to be filled. Further, it conveyed deepest condolences and pray that the Almighty God grant solace and strength to the bereaved family members at this hour of grief and pain and the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.
State BJP: State BJP condoled the demise of late K.V. Pusa on January 2. State BJP said late Pusa a sitting AICC member was a tall Naga leader, served the society in different capacities since his youth as part of Southern Angami Sports Association, Board Chairman of Kohima (Mezhur) English School, and in his long political career as President of NPCC and Minister under various ministries with varied portfolios.
President Visasolie Lhoungu, in his condolence message mourned the loss of a great leader of the state and particularly the Southern Angami region which will be difficult to be filled. State BJP pray for the bereaved family at this hour of grief and the departed soul to rest in peace.
ENLU: Eastern Nagaland Legislators Union (ENLU) Convenor and Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Minister, P. Longon, on behalf of ENLU expressed shock and grief over the sudden demise of KV Pusa, a veteran Naga politician on January 2 at Kohima.
In a condolence message, ENLU said the demise of KV Pusa is a great loss to the Naga society and a big vacuum created. “The untimely demise of Pusa is a great loss to the Nagas and the void created by his death would be difficult to fill”, it added.
ENLU described late Pusa as a true Naga patriot and a seasoned politician who work for the aspiration for the Naga people during his life time. The union conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members and the departed soul rest in peace.
