DIMAPUR — Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Wednesday extended greetings to the Rengma community on the occasion of Ngada, the tribe’s major post-harvest festival.
In his message, Governor Bhalla said that Ngada embodies the spirit of gratitude, unity and thanksgiving for a bountiful harvest, reflecting the rich cultural heritage and communal harmony of the Rengma people.
He expressed hope that the festival would bring renewed peace, prosperity and goodwill, while urging citizens to uphold the noble traditions handed down by their forebears.

Rio, in a post on X, also conveyed greetings, describing Ngada as a celebration that deepens gratitude for the harvest and strengthens relationships.
