Dimapur, Oct. 14 (EMN):The Association of Gorkha Baptist Churches Nagaland (AGBCN) conducted a three-day biennial youth conference at Chumukedima town hall from Oct. 12 to the 14th. The event was conducted based on the theme ‘In step with the Word of God.’ The programme was hosted by the Nepali Baptist Church of Chumukedima.
According to a press release from the publicity cell on Sunday, the conference was organised with objective to inspire, enrich, and motivate Christian Gorkha youths under AGBCN spiritually and physically. The main speakers of the conference were Rev. Mathias Subba, director of Himalayan Evangelical Fellowship Kalimpong, Darjeeling and Rev. Ranjit Kunwar, founder of Living Church Kathmandu, Nepal.
During the conference, youths were encouraged to have the spirit and passion for dignity of labour. The updates mentioned that the conference included praise and worship, exhibition of Gorkhas Culture, battle of bands, and cultural dance competition.
The press release added that the youth secretary of AGBCN, Shishir Lama encouraged the youths to stand firm in their commitment until the next youth conference in 2020.
