Good Shepherd Seminary in Dimapur celebrates Oratory Day with over 200 children through faith and fellowship

DIMAPUR — Good Shepherd Seminary (GSS), Thahekhu, celebrated Oratory Day on Sunday on the theme “Let the little Children Come” (Mark 10:14), with the participation of over 200 children from Dimapur and surrounding areas.
Oratory Day, observed in Catholic and Salesian educational institutions inspired by the educational philosophy of St. John Bosco, honours his concept of a community that serves as a welcoming home, a place of spiritual growth, a playground for friendships, and a school that prepares students for life.
According to an update, the 33 Brothers of GSS, who undertake Sunday ministry, brought the children to the seminary to promote friendship and prepare them for life.
The day-long programme included a liturgical celebration, cultural programmes, and a variety of games and concluded with a fellowship meal.
The Rector and Fathers of the Seminary, in cooperation with the Brothers, organised the programme.
Fr. C Joseph, Counsellor of St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Jakhama, attended as the resource person, while Fr. Joe Mariadoss, Director of Shalom Rehabilitation Centre, attended as the chief guest.
