NAGA REJU FAST FOOD restaurant located near loyola college at Nelson Manickam Road Near Choolaimedu Traffic Signal, started in the year 2007 with an aim to showcase naga food to south India and bring Naga students and working professionals a taste of home. Today Naga Reju serves a variety of Naga dishes, from bamboo shoot , axone (fermented soya been) , anishi (processed Yam leaves)… etc., plus continental dishes like momo (pork, beef and chicken) fried rice (pork, beef and chicken) , pork chilly , beef chilly, chicken chilly.. etc . The resturaunt also serves extra spicy dishes flavoured with NKC (Naga King Chilly) . Maong Jamir who is the proprietor of the restaurant says the name ‘NAGA REJU’ was designated by my father, it means an assembly point for Nagas. The brain child of my brother and I. CRISPY CHILLY SMOKED PORK Ingredients: Cubes of smoke pork: 160gms Eggs: 1 Corn flour: 50gms Shredded capsicum: 10gms Shredded onions: 10gms Shredded carrots: 10gms Dry red chillies: 5gms Chilli paste: 10gms Tomato ketchup: 10gms Chilli oil: 1tsp Soya sauce: 1tsp Vinegar: 1tsp MSG: 1tsp Method: Marinate the cubes of smoke pork and keep aside for 30 minutes. Deep fry the pork till golden brown. Heat oil in a wok, and then saute ginger, garlic, onions and shredded vegetables. Add all the ingredients and mix well. Further on, add pork and mix well with seasoning. Serve hot, garnished with chopped spring onions.
