DIMAPUR — A workshop for Good Governance Day
was held at the DC conference hall in Kiphire on December 21, as part of Good
Governance Week, which takes place from December 19 to the 24th.
According to a DIPR report, DC Kiphire Temsuwati Longkumer
welcomed and addressed the officers during the meeting-cum-workshop programme.
DHEW coordinator Villiho Awomi spoke about women-related schemes,
while the nodal officer of the Chief Minister's Health Insurance Scheme-Pradhan
Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, Yangtsapila, discussed the insurance scheme.
The assistant supply officer for the Food and Civil Supplies
department, Renthungo, spoke about rationing, while EAC (Dev) Takatemjen
Pongnen presented information on various state and central government schemes
and programmes through a PowerPoint presentation.
The DPA (Education) Kiphire, Alumse, also gave a PowerPoint
presentation on the development activities being undertaken by the NECTAR
projects in the district. EAC Nitile Tep, who is also the APIO, presented on
grievances redressal and the RTI mechanism.
The district administration, the Rural Development
department, the Education department, and the Medical department also presented
their activities. This was followed by a question-and-answer session.
Longtiba L Sangtam, ADC Kiphire, delivered the vote of
thanks, while EAC Kiphire, Zavito Ltu, chaired the programme.
The programme was held under the directives of the
Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, Ministry of
Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, government of India.
