- DIMAPUR — The
General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Red Shield Division of Indian army, SS
Kartikeya, visited Zakhama Military Station on January 7 and also held
interaction with the Ex-Servicemen (ESM) and their families.
- A defence release stated that the GOC has acknowledged the
ESM for their invaluable contributions in safeguarding the nation and also
praised their continued role in inspiring the younger generation. It added that
the interaction provided a platform to address their concerns and reaffirmed
the commitment of army for the welfare of the Ex-Servicemen, Veer Naris and
their families.
- Ex-Servicemen along with their families from Zakhama and
adjoining villages attended the event.
- The GOC also felicitated the parents and sister of Captain
Neikezhakuo Kenguruse, MVC (Posthumous), a Kargil war hero, whose bravery and
sacrifice continues to serve as an enduring source of inspiration.
