Dimapur, May 17 (EMN): Training for GNMs and Community Health Officers (CHOs) of Health and Wellness Centre on population based Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) screening and management was held from May 7 -16 at Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK).
The training was conducted in batch wise from May 7 – 9 and from May 14 – 16.
Resource persons of the training were Dr. Imotemsu, senior specialist (O&G), Dr. S Neiphrezo, junior specialist (Medicine), Dr. Pitibo, junior dental surgeon, (NHAK), Vilasenuo Suokhrie, nursing tutor, NHAK School of Nursing, Visasieu Guozi, nursing tutor, NHAK School of Nursing, and Nolasanu, nursing tutor, Dimapur School of Nursing.
Besides, a team from Tata Trusts, Delhi, provided hands-on training on NCD software application.
The training was conducted to equip the GNMs and CHOs to implement the various activities in Health and Wellness Centres across Nagaland with special focus in NCD screening and management.
