Dimapur, November 29: Government Middle School (GMS), North Point, Zunheboto, celebrated its golden jubilee on November 29 with JEO, Zunheboto, Bohoto as the special guest.
Speaking on the occasion, the JEO lauded the pioneers of the school who had tirelessly withstood untold difficulties in those days. He said jubilee celebration is a moment of retrospection and a time to seek blessings for the future. He also called upon the teachers to be more dedicated and responsible while performing their duties in shaping the future of the students.
Others who spoke on the occasion included WEC chairmen Ghuhevi Khuju, Luheto Yeptho and pioneer teachers. The programme was chaired by Hotopu, Graduate Teacher. The vote of thanks was proposed by WEC member, Atovi Yeptho.
As part of 50 years of its existence, the students also undertook an exposure trip to Doyang Hydro Electric Project, Wokha, led by teachers.
