
DIMAPUR — Government Middle School (GMS) Bayavü, Kohima, conducted an exposure trip to Mt. Puliebadze, Jotsoma, in Kohima, on Tuesday.
According to an update from the school, the activity was part of learning beyond the classroom to better understand the ecosystem and the environment.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]While climbing the mountain, the students collected plastic waste and wrappers and disposed of them in waste bins in order to maintain a healthy and clean environment and to promote sustainable living.
The hikers also gained firsthand experience in identifying various plants, herbs, and trees during the trip.
The hike was undertaken by 63 students from classes 7 and 8, who were led by the head teacher and three teachers.
