Dimapur, July 8: A team of 22 Class XII students from GHSS, Bhandari, visited important places of interest in Kolkata from June 28 to 30 as a part of their 5 days educational tour along with their Principal, Vice Principal and two PG teachers.
The team travelled between Furkating and Howrah by train and visited Victoria Memorial Hall, Science City, Indian Museum and Nicco Park at Kolkata. Daring the hot summer the students enjoyed getting exposed to the glimpses of historical events and wonders of science along with enjoying the fun of travelling together. They also had a wonderful day of relaxation at the Nicco Amusement Park playing the various rides provided at the Water Park and the Main Park. The students were excited to see the life prevailing in the city and said that the tour has aroused their interest for exploring the wonders of the land and life through travel. The team members have expressed their gratitude to Mmhonlumo Kikon, Parliamentary Secretary of Labour & Employment and Boarder Affairs, for sponsoring one day boarding and lodging expenses of the team. They also appreciated the efforts of the school authority and the teachers in organizing the programme and hope to get exposed to more such opportunities in the coming days.
