DIMAPUR — Government High School, Saring, Mokokchung district, organised a felicitation programme on Thursday to honour the achievements of the successful candidates in the HSLC Examinations 2024.
With immense joy and pride, the school acknowledged six consecutive years of achieving a 100% pass result, reaffirming its commitment to academic excellence, an update from the school stated.
The programme commenced with a moment of prayer and reverence led by Yangerla, assistant pastor of Children Education, Saring Baptist Church (SBC). Mechongjang, graduate teacher, in his welcome note, expressed heartfelt gratitude and extended a warm welcome to all attendees, emphasising the significance of the occasion as a celebration of academic achievement and dedication.
The school’s assistant headmaster, in his opening remarks, quoted that ‘Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.”
He also underscored the significance of the students' achievements and the school's dedication to fostering academic success.
Yapang, senior teacher, felicitated each student, recognising their hard work, determination, and contribution to the school's reputation. Washi, pastor of Saring Baptist Church, delivered an inspiring speech, drawing wisdom from scripture to exhort the students and the teacher about being a good shepherd and a good follower.
The students of classes 9 and 10 presented a musical performance, reflecting the joyous celebration of achievement.
Short speeches were delivered by invitees including the chairman of Saring Village Council, representatives of the parents, and the successful students.
The programme culminated with a mass prayer, invoking blessings for the students' continued success and for the bright future of the school.
Meanwhile, Government High School, Saring, extended gratitude to all attendees, including parents, teachers, students, members from the village council, the church, and the students' union, for their unwavering support and encouragement throughout the academic journey.
