Dimapur, May 6 (EMN): Government High School (GHS) Chetheba celebrated parents’ day with Muruho Chotso, Phek Deputy Commissioner (DC) as guest speaker, on May 5.
Speaking at the occasion, DC said teachers should treat their students as his/her own child for better growth of the students.
He also urged the teachers to be committed in their work, dutiful, dressed decently, and work wholeheartedly towards their duty.
Encouraging the students to be labourous, he said to become a successful person; one should first seek the kingdom of God. “Those who cannot compete with others, they become strike leaders in the society” he added.
Further, DC stressed the importance of government institutions ‘as they provide not only in the educational field but also different societal set-ups.’
The program was led by headmaster, Etsongoi Medeo while invocation was pronounced by Pastor of Chetheba Town Baptist Church, Vesüpra Tetseo. Special number from the School choir presented special number and folk.
