GHS, Burma Camp sports meet underway

Dimapur, March 15 (EMN): The Annual Sports meet of Government High School (GHS) Burma Camp Dimapur kicked off on Wednesday March 15, 2017 at its school campus and will culminate on March 17, 2017. The students are divided into four distinct houses- Mark, Luke, John and Paul. The contingents of the four houses displayed March past with guard of honour showing the goodwill spirits of sportsmanship at the inaugural day. The GHS annual sports meet flag was unfurled by Rosemary Jamir, Assistant Head Mistress. In her speech, Jamir emphasised on the importance of all round development of a student and the reason why sports activities are incorporated in the academic curriculum every year. She also encouraged the students to develop other skills besides learning within the four walls of the classroom.
