Dimapur, Dec. 30: The 10th annual session of Ghowoto Village Students Union (GVSU) was held on December 29 at Ghowoto village, with Viccato H Aye, president ofYouth Wing, AamAadmi Party as chief guest.
Addressing the students, the chief guestadvised the students to make education their top priority and know their responsibility towards thesociety.
Citing the quote of Albert Einstein, “Education is the most powerful weapon to change the present world,” he urged the students and youths of Nagaland to give clean election campaign a chance, as “we” are lagging behind towards development due to excessive use of money during election.“Let’s not wait for candidates to give us money but let us give them first our free vote to bring Nagaland back to development track,” he said and asked the students and youths to make the first move.
Also urging the church leaders to seriously take up clean election campaign as in the past it has been a failure, Viccato said Church plays important role in developing Nagaland.
He also urged the students’ community to end the idea of chief guest culture as it does not helpinganyone; rather making the society bad and further advised them to make use of speakers duringtheprogrammes. The chief guest was accompanied by general secretaries, ZatoAwomi and KheshikaAwomi and HASSU, president of KughatoAchumi and his colleagues.Welcome address was delivered by president GGKK, Vitopu Aye while welcome song was presented by GGKK.
