DIMAPUR — The Department of Food and Civil Supplies, Dimapur, has informed the general public that the identification exercise for general household (GHH) ration cards, first phase, will commence on September 6 for Dimapur district.
It will take place at the office of the district civil supply officer, Food and Civil Supplies, Dimapur, during office hours.
According to a circular issued, eligibility includes any Indian citizen and indigenous inhabitant of Nagaland who is not an National Food Security Act beneficiary, not covered under the Antyodaya Anna Yojana or Priority Households scheme, and has an annual income above 2.5 lakh.

The eldest female in the family, who is 18 years of age or older, will be the head of the family, and the GHH ration card will be issued in her name. In the absence of an eligible female, the eldest male will be considered the head of the family for the purpose of issuing the ration card.
The Aadhaar numbers of all the members of the family are to be included in the ration cards. The identification of a beneficiary will be based on Aadhaar.
