Kohima, Feb. 14 (EMN): GeThemGo FC overpowered Mustang FC 5-3 in a goal fest encounter during the ongoing Morning Premier League at Seikhazou ground, Kohima on Jan. 14.
Defending champions GeThemGo FC (erstwhile known as PowerComm FC) rode on Gum’s hat-trick as they outclassed Mustang FC to secure three points of the league matches in the second week.
Gum opened the account for GeThemGo FC in the 14th minute and added the second goal in the 16th minute to take the deserving lead.
However, Imo pulled back a goal in the 34th minute for Mustang FC to keep the game alive as the first half ended 2-1.
In the second half, GeThemGo FC started their counter-attack as Jana added the third goal in the 47th minute. In the midst of the celebration, Aloto managed to score for Mustang within a minute to make it 2-3.
The second goal for Mustang did not stop GeThemGo FC from scoring as Hethanglo scored the fourth goal in the 65th minute and Gum completed his hat-trick in the 66th minute to make it 5-2 for GeThemGo FC.
Ngullen did score a late goal in the 71st minute but GeThemGo defended the score to end the match in their favour.
