Dimapur, Sep. 11 (EMN): The department of Geology and Mining held its 40th state geological programming board meet on Friday in its office conference hall under the chairmanship of its Director S Manen.

Representatives from Geological Survey of India (GSI), Manipur-Nagaland Circle, Nagaland State Mineral Development Corporation and OSD, Geology and Mining department attended the meeting along with technical officers, an update informed.

During the meet, the members deliberated on the geo-scientific activities undertaken by the directorate of Geology and Mining and GSI as well as allied agencies and affirmed on better co-ordination and data sharing among allied agencies for effective implementation and avoid overlapping of work among the agencies.
