
DIMAPUR — As part of 100 days special awareness campaign, the Wokha district administration, department of Social Welfare and Sanklap-Hub for Empowerment of Women organised a gender awareness session for the staff of deputy commissioner’s office at its conference hall on Wednesday.
Delivering the keynote address, the EAC of Wokha, Rozy Sangtam, lauded the organisers for initiating such programme for the government employees and opined that through the programme they would be educated and maintain healthy atmosphere at work places, stated a DIPR report.
Gender specialist, Merithung Lotha, has highlighted about the functioning of District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) and briefly apprised some of the schemes available for women, while Advocate Thungbeni Kikon, case worker at Sakhi-One Stop Centre, made a powerpoint presentation on sexual harassment at work place.
The programme was chaired by Chichanthung L Ezung, while the vote of thanks was delivered by DHEW mission coordinator, Wonchano E Enny.
