Golden Crown Theological College hosted a charity concert on the theme “Defying Gravity” - a fundraising event for the girls’ dormitory on March 26 evening. The rustic, organic and ethereal decor matched the energy and vibe of both the performers and audience.
The crowd were mesmerized with pieces from musicals and soundtracks of famous movies ranging from “Les Misérablés,” “Frozen” “Tangled to Twilight,” “Fast and furious 7” and even “James Bond Spectre.” The pieces catered to both young vibrant audience as well as the more matured beautiful ones.
The performers of the event were Kivika, Ebeni, Kiren, Chumchilo, Atong, Meribeni Patton, Thunglamo Ngullie, Norman Villas, Thungyani, Chandeno, Frankie Kaurinta, Thungbeni, Liro, Khristin, Kito Sumi, and Avoni Odyuo.
Meanwhile, the organizers have extended gratitude to the sponsors, donors, performers, volunteers, and the participants of the programme for making the show a success.
It mentioned that the girls dormitory would never be the same again, simply because of all the love and commitment embedded along with breathtaking contributions from all concerned.
Avoni Odyuo, Music Director, in her vote of thanks, emphasized on the value of money that everyone had spared for a ticket. She said the contribution was an indication of their support for the cause and the ministry carried out by the college for the students and the community.
