GBs urge governor to ‘settle’ political issue

Dimapur, Jan. 17 (EMN): Members of the Nagaland GB Federation called on governor of Nagaland RN Ravi on January 16 at the police headquarters in Dimapur during which the group urged the governor to ‘settle the Naga political issue on top priority basis so that many prevailing problems can be solved by it.’    

The federation issued a press release informing about the group’s visit. 

There was also a short prayer programme conducted by Rev. Luoliehu Yimsung of Leaders’ Arise Nagaland, updates stated.

During the meeting, the federation reiterated its support to a peaceful settlement of the Naga political issue, the federation stated. 

According to the press release, the governor was stated to have ‘shared his deep concern and care for the common people of Nagaland in the areas of good governance of road, health, education etc.’ While deliberating on many issues, the NGBF urged the governor to settle the Naga political issue on top priority basis so that many prevailing problems can be solved by it, the press release stated.

The governor was also invited to attend the 4th edition of an event the press release stated was the ‘Kingdom leaders’ prayer breakfast’ on February 8 to be conducted at Hotel Vivor in Kohima.

“The governor also appreciated the neutrality and efforts of NGBF and the initiative of the churches in Nagaland for tirelessly working for Naga people and its political future,” the press release stated.
