GBs told to maintain clear record of customary law

Dimapur, April 21 (EMN): Minister of Planning and Coordination, Land Revenue, and Parliamentary Affairs, Neiba Kronu, has called upon the members of the Gaon Bura (GB) in Nagaland to maintain a clear record of customary law to avoid confusion.

Kronu stated this during the 30th general session of the Nagaland GBs’ Federation (NGBF) held at Phek town hall on April 20 and 21 as the special guest. Kronu also urged the members to make the right decision and uphold truthfulness while discharging their duties. He also called upon the members to explore the rich resources for the betterment of the people.

While appreciating the federation for their tireless effort in different fields, he requested them to keep up their services for the welfare of the people. Further stating that Phek district is a friendly district, he called upon the GBs from different parts to spread the good message to the people.

MLA of 19 Phek AC, Kuzholuzo Nienu, also spoke on the occasion.

The welcome address was delivered by PDGBA president, Zadulhu Ringa, while the keynote address was delivered by Commissioner of Nagaland, Rovilatuo Mor, and the felicitation was led by the deputy commissioner of Phek, Razouvolie Dozo.

A cultural item was presented by the members of Chakhesang Cultural Institute Centre, Chethaba, and folk song was presented by Chakhesang Women Society.
