The G Rio Memorial Volleyball Trophy entered day two in Kohima with intense men’s and women’s matches at Khuochiezie.

DIMAPUR — The G Rio Memorial Volleyball Trophy (12th Kohima Open Tournament) for men and women, organised under the aegis of the Kohima District Volleyball Association (KDVA), entered its second day at Khuochiezie (Kohima Local Ground) on Tuesday.
According to an update, in view of the peaceful rally held in Kohima, officials, players, and spectators observed a moment of silence in honour of Lt. Vihozhonu Zao at the Kohima Local Ground.
It was further informed that the closing ceremony will be attended by MLA C Manpon Konyak on November 20 at 1:00 pm.
On day 2, in the men’s category, Kazi Najrul Assam defeated Tantrum Volleys, while Rinal Volleyball Club Assam defeated New Sendenyu Youth Organisation.
Senapati Sporting Club Manipur defeated Marieri Mao Manipur, and Kiruphema Youth Organisation B defeated Evergreen Club Ungma. Kazi Najrul Assam won the match with a deciding set against MH 10.

Zing-zing Kezo Town defeated Rinal Volleyball Club Assam, while Southern Angami Sports Association defeated Marieri Mao Manipur. Kiruphema Youth Organisation B defeated Kiruphema Youth Organisation junior.
In the women’s category, Teen Star Manipur defeated Senapati Sporting Club, while Elite Sisters Club defeated United Sisters. MADFA Dimapur defeated Terhiipourie Mezoma, and Titan’s Club defeated Tiema Khe Kidima.
Teen Stars defeated Masketeers VC, Dreamers defeated United Sisters, and Terhiipourie Mezoma defeated Team Ace.
