G Rio Memorial Volleyball Trophy begins on November 17 in Kohima

DIMAPUR — The G Rio Memorial Volleyball Trophy (12th Kohima Open Tournament for Men and Women), organised under the aegis of the Kohima District Volleyball Association (KDVA), will commence at Khuochiezie (Kohima Local Ground) on November 17.

According to an update, Zhaleo Rio, MLA and advisor for Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, will attend the inaugural function as the special guest at 12 noon.

KDVA President Visasielie Suhu will deliver the presidential address, while Technical Committee Convenor Vizobeilie Punyii will administer the oath to the participating teams.

Meanwhile, Organising Committee Convenor Mhalelhou Mere requested all the participating teams to report to the venue by 11 am. The entry ticket for spectators has been fixed at INR 50.

The tournament, which will continue till November 20, will witness participants from Nagaland, Assam and Manipur.
