Dimapur, May 1 (EMN): Representatives of petroleum retailers and transporters operating in Nagaland on Tuesday informed that they have decided to call off the statewide shutdown of all fuel outlets. “Office of the Kohima Petroleum Dealers Association, Dimapur Petroleum Dealers Association, Nagaland Tanker Transport Association, and Drivers Union for Tanker had a meeting with commissioner of Nagaland Sentiyanger Imchen dated 01-05-2018. The respected commissioner assured the above unions to leave no stone unturned for the safe release of the tanker driver and his handyman. “In view of the assurance the unions decided to call off the strike for the welfare of the public. The union further thanks the state government for investigating the matter with outmost sincerity, the public for their valuable support and the media for their invaluable coverage,” a brief statement from the workers’ unions read.
