Dimapur, September 29 : While expressing its appreciation to ACAUT Nagaland for busting a fuel adulteration depot in Dimapur, the Business Association of Nagas (BAN) has extended its all out support to NGOs Coordination Committee on Fuel Adulteration to call bandh on National Highway if CBI inquiry to probe the matter is not instituted within 15 days.
In this connection, the BAN has appealed to all public and likeminded NGOs to lend support and be prepared to bear the challenges in the quest for good governance and fight against corruption.
The media cell, BAN, in a release today said busting of fuel adulteration depot had a far reaching positive result, ensuring better fuel, mileage and better engine life of vehicles and saving crores of hard earned money. It also said the “poor man's fuel” is reaching its beneficiaries in the remotest corners of Nagaland.
However, the BAN expressed its utter disappointment that the State Government led by “Christian leaders” is turning a blind eye on such an open corruption issue as no “tangible results” are seen even after three months of busting of the fuel adulteration racket. It warned politicians to refrain from patronising a few non-locals against entire Naga public for their selfish interest while pointing to the fuel adulteration issue. The BAN demanded that the State Government immediately accept the demand made by the NGOs Co-ordination Committee on Fuel Adulteration.
