Dimapur, Aug. 4 (EMN): Along with the rest of the world, Kidima and Khuzama communities observed the 150th foundation day of the Franciscan Sisters of Saint Mary of the Angels (FSMA) congregation at Convent’s chapel in Khuzama on August 2.
The Franciscan Sisters of Saint Mary of the Angels (FSMA) congregation was founded on August 2, 1871, in France by Fr. John Chrysostom OFM and Mother Marie Chrysostom of the Cross on the motto “Let your light shine.”
An update from FSMA Kidima stated that Rev. Fr. Rajesh Lobo SJ of Eden Garden and Children’s Home was the main celebrant. In his homily, Fr. Rajesh Lobo urged the faithful to rely on God in everything they do.
Fr. Lobo also reflected on the gospel how Jesus felt compassion to people and fed them.
Fr. Lobo also lauded the FSMA for managing the schools smoothly. He further appealed to continue praying and understand each other for the greater glory of God. Special prayer was offered to FSMA congregation for more fruit to bear in the vineyard of God.
The faithful with FSMA and novitiate candidates took part in the sacred feast ceremony. Short felicitation programme was organised after the Eucharist celebration.
